Blisters

Like many supposedly minor ailments, the size of a blister sometimes seems unfairly disproportionate to the pain it can cause. But whatever its size, it is still a sore, raw wound that often has to bear weight and, as a result, it can be very painful.

Poorly-fitting shoes or a change in activity such as going for a long walk are usually the cause of blisters. Making sure your footwear fits properly can reduce the likelihood of blisters forming as can socks that allow your feet to breathe and stay dry.

If a blister hasn't burst, apply padding such as Scholl Blister Plasters or Scholl Party Feet Blister Plasters then leave it alone and it's likely to heal on its own. Once a blister bursts, it's a good idea to apply some antiseptic cream to prevent infection from occurring.

Your GP, Podiatrist or pharmacist may also be able to advise on the best foot care products for you.
