Scholl Orthaheel: Lori's story

Tested: Scholl Orthaheel orthotics

Is there anyone busier than Lori Karr? This 39-year-old mother of four children under 12 - including a newborn – is also a caterer, a party consultant and a returning student earning her bachelor’s degree. In her ‘spare’ time, Lori is training for a half marathon.

This is a woman constantly on her feet.

But when knee and ankle pain threatened to slow her down, she knew she had to find a solution.

“I was really hurting,” says Lori, “and the pain was slowing me down. With a packed schedule of school runs, after-school activities, work, cooking and studying, I couldn’t afford to sit on the sidelines.”

So Lori searched the internet and found that foot, ankle, knee and lower back pain could be alleviated simply by inserting an orthotic in your shoe.

She discovered the Scholl Orthaheel range of Orthotics

“It wasn’t long before I noticed a difference in my pain levels. I was soon able to walk straighter and with very little excessive pronation. This took a lot of stress off my ankles and knees.”

Soon Lori was able to resume her marathon training schedule, now running from 15 to 20 miles a week.

“I’m now back on track,” says Lori, “and hoping to achieve my fitness goals this year, as well as carry out a heavy family, work and school schedule.”

“Thanks to Scholl Orthaheel,” says Lori, “the pain in my knees and ankles is the last thing I have to worry about.”
