Foot Arch Problems

The arches of the foot are formed by the tarsal and metatarsal bones, and strengthened by ligaments and tendons. They allow the foot to support the weight of your upright body with the least weight. Foot types vary and people may have low or high arched foot.

Ensuring your shoes fit properly and provide you with adequate support can help to prevent problems developing. Keeping your weight down also helps to reduce the pressure on your feet. Your GP, Podiatrist or pharmacist may also be able to advise on the best foot care products for you.
